SAA Team Builder Infrastructure for Growing an Agent Organization

Key Takeaway

Team Builder is the infrastructure Smart Agent Alliance provides for building and supporting a revenue share organization at eXp Realty. It adds an attraction page, automated follow-up, a builder portal, downline reporting, and team branding on top of standard portal access. Tier level controls how much of it opens.

TL;DR About SAA Team Builder

  • Infrastructure for building a revenue share organization
  • Sits on top of standard agent portal access
  • Three tiers: Starter, Leader, and Titan
  • Builder portal reports on the whole downline
  • Titan branding cascades to every downline portal
  • Separate from forming an eXp production team

Team Builder is the set of systems an eXp Realty agent uses to attract agents into a revenue share organization and support them afterward. It covers attraction pages, a builder portal, downline reporting, and branding.

One misconception is that Team Builder replaces the standard agent portal. It sits on top of it and adds what an agent needs once other agents join beneath them.

This article explains how SAA Team Builder infrastructure fits into the broader Smart Agent Alliance value stack available to eXp agents.

The sections below cover what the infrastructure includes, the three tiers, how branding cascades, and what downline agents receive:

What Team Builder Infrastructure Includes

A personal attraction page presents eXp Realty and Smart Agent Alliance to interested agents and routes booked calls. A link page hosts public links. A builder portal shows who is in the downline. All three are hosted, so an agent does not build or maintain any of them.

Four automated campaigns run behind the attraction page: primary, nurture, re-engagement, and post-meeting. Every message carries the name of the agent whose page captured the contact, and replies route to that agent’s inbox.

Page and booking activity report through the SAA Analytics Dashboard. Attracting agents is business development rather than a transaction, though the standards NAR sets for members apply to those conversations.

The Three Access Tiers and How Each One Unlocks

Starter is the base level. It carries the agent portal, the personalized link page, the attraction page, the automated campaigns, and analytics. Sponsorship by Smart Agent Alliance activates it.

Leader adds the builder portal. A visible toggle switches the portal between the agent’s own view and the view of someone running a team. Leader also opens a team dashboard, team analytics, a shared booking calendar, a public leaderboard, and the ability to publish custom calls, courses, and onboarding steps into every downline portal.

Titan adds branding. Each higher tier includes everything in the tier below it, and feature access is the same whether a tier is earned through attracted agents or paid for monthly.

How Custom Branding Cascades Through a Downline

Branding is the Titan tier feature. Five elements can be replaced: accent color, team logo, portal background, title font, and frame texture.

Those choices apply to the agent’s own portal and to every portal beneath them, so a downline agent sees the team brand rather than the Smart Agent Alliance brand. Branding covers the portal environment only. eXp Realty materials stay under the brokerage brand.

Attraction pages work differently. They are co-branded, carrying the team brand alongside Smart Agent Alliance rather than replacing it. Join emails and apply instructions follow the same pattern.

Titan also unlocks a custom team name on the page, a replacement for the default pitch video, and a booking calendar the agent controls.

What Downline Agents Receive and How Sponsor Selection Changes It

Every agent attracted into the organization receives the Smart Agent Alliance toolkit: portal access, a personalized link page, an attraction page, automated follow-up, and analytics.

What differs is the training layer. Someone who names a Smart Agent Alliance aligned sponsort as primary sponsor receives the full toolkit including Wolf Pack training and community. Someone who names Doug Smart as co-sponsor instead receives the Smart Agent Alliance tools and support without the Wolf Pack layer. Co-sponsored agents see the eXp Realty courses in Elite Courses but not the Wolf Pack courses.

The primary sponsor is named on the eXp Realty join application, and the co-sponsor is named within 5 days after the new agent is active at eXp. Review is available only for clerical recording errors. At Leader and above, the upline bio and photo also appear on every downline attraction page.

Why Infrastructure Is Not the Same as Attracting Agents

A builder portal does not attract anyone. It holds and reports on what has already happened.

The common pattern is activating the attraction page and waiting. The page converts traffic that reaches it, and nothing sends traffic on its own. A page with no traffic behind it sits idle.

Conversations are still the input. The infrastructure removes the follow-up, tracking, and setup work that used to sit between a conversation and a booked call. That is why Master Agent Attraction covers the skill side while Team Builder covers the operating side.

How Team Builder Differs From an eXp Production Team

The two team types are unrelated structures.

An eXp production team shares transactions. Members work leads together, split commissions under a team agreement, and answer to a team leader on deal execution.

A revenue share organization shares none of that. Agents in a downline run their own businesses, keep their own commissions, and hold their own clients. The connection is sponsorship, not production.

Team Builder is infrastructure for the second structure only. An agent can build one, both, or neither, and the wider Smart Agent Alliance value stack stays the same either way.

What Agents Also Ask

Is the builder portal included with SAA sponsorship

Sponsorship activates the Starter level: portal access, the link page, the attraction page, automated campaigns, and analytics. The builder portal and downline reporting open at the Leader tier, which an agent reaches by attracting agents or by paying monthly.

Who sees the branding at the Titan tier

Team branding replaces Smart Agent Alliance branding inside the agent’s own portal and every downline portal. Attraction pages, join emails, and apply instructions are co-branded instead, carrying both the team brand and Smart Agent Alliance.

Can an agent tell which downline agents have gone quiet

Team analytics flags downline agents whose activity has dropped off, which is what separates it from the personal analytics every agent has at Starter. Both views sit behind the same builder portal toggle at the Leader tier.

Is this the same as running an eXp team

A production team shares transactions and commissions under a team agreement. A revenue share organization does not. Downline agents keep their own commissions and clients, and the link between them is sponsorship rather than production.

Why This Matters

Infrastructure for building an organization at eXp Realty comes from the sponsor side, not the brokerage, which makes the sponsor choice part of how an agent can build. At eXp Realty, all agents receive the same core brokerage platform, including compliance, compensation, and access to company divisions. What differs is the sponsor ecosystem an agent aligns with.

The sponsor an agent selects shapes which tools, training, and attraction systems they have access to, including whether a builder portal, downline reporting, and a branded team environment come with the relationship at all. Agents weighing that choice should compare what each sponsor supplies for building an organization alongside the Smart Agent Alliance team value.

Frequently Asked Questions

Team Builder is the infrastructure layer for agents building a revenue share organization at eXp Realty. It adds attraction pages, automated follow-up, a builder portal, downline reporting, and optional team branding on top of standard portal access.
Sponsor designations at eXp Realty are permanent, so an existing agent keeps the primary sponsor already on record. Access still opens by attracting one agent who names a Smart Agent Alliance-aligned agent as primary sponsor or Doug Smart as co-sponsor, or by purchasing a tier. The SAA Partner Program covers that path.
The builder portal reports on the downline: total agents, how many are active, recent signups, breakdown by relationship, and login activity. Calls booked through any downline attraction page land on a shared calendar by default.
Leader and Titan allow publishing custom calls, courses, and onboarding steps into every downline portal. Downline agents see that material alongside the Smart Agent Alliance content already in their portal, so an upline can layer its own process on the standard one.
