Agent questions

Questions agents ask before joining eXp Realty

Each page here answers one question and is titled as that question. The answer is in the first two sentences, the numbers are eXp's own where numbers are involved, and where a question does not have a flattering answer for us we have written the unflattering one.

These pages exist because most of what an agent finds while researching this decision is written to convert rather than to inform. Nothing here needs you to book a call to find out the answer.

The one-minute version

If you only have a minute, this is the whole of it. Joining eXp Realty means naming one sponsor on the application. eXp sets the split, the cap and the fees, and they are identical for every agent no matter whose name goes in that field. eXp pays the sponsor's organization revenue share when the agents in it close, and requires nothing of them in return, so what you get on top of the brokerage is entirely down to which organization you name.

That is why the decision is worth an afternoon: it is permanent once your license activates, and the range of what organizations actually provide runs from nothing at all to a full set of systems, with the same word used to describe both. The rest of these pages are the detail behind that paragraph.

What is not on these pages

No ranking of sponsor organizations, because a ranking published by one of them is not worth reading. No numbers we cannot source. No results attributed to Smart Agent Alliance that were not produced by agents Smart Agent Alliance sponsored. Where a figure comes from somebody else, the page says whose it is.

Who wrote this

Smart Agent Alliance is a team inside eXp Realty. We add lead systems, training, support and a portal on top of everything eXp already gives an agent, and we take no cut of your commission. eXp pays us revenue share when the agents in our organization close, which is what funds the rest.
